Cracking the code of finance

Cracking the code of finance

We have more than 30 million African-Americans alone who have never been giving a lesson in the money or how the free enterprise system or capitalism works. Not given financial literacy. After World War II black workers finally got good jobs. The net worth of middle-class blacks is still a fraction of the network of their white counterparts. With simply better financial and economic role models they have experienced free enterprise and capitalism is the world practice

These communities have an unmet need for mainstream banking service, access to credit, real estate investment, homeownership, and income generation thru small businesses such as gas stations, convenient stores/grocery stores, and entertainment

Action is paramount. Focused on the 100 million Americans that make $50,000 or less who defined themselves as the working people or underserved. Today struggling middle-class families and small business need to speak the language of financial literacy to help turn their situation. To live in system of free enterprise and not understand it is the modern-day definition of slavery. No knowledge of things as simple as earned income tax credit

Traditional banks are in a promising position to step in and offer these consumers bank accounts and some financial literacy training. This is a chance for banks to do well by doing good.

According to the FDIC in  2017 approximately 8.4 million households were unbanked. An additional 24.2 million were underbanked, meaning that the household had a checking or savings account but also obtained financial products and services outside of the banking system. That’s 24.2 million customers who could be better served by a good relationship with the bank they can trust and that provides them with timely access to information. Traditional banks that couple of non-minimum, no hidden fee checking account with a financial literacy course can easily gain new valuable customers while also improving the financial lives of those account holders. This is a different business model involved with its community, sponsoring local league teams, passing out turkeys on Thanksgiving. Giving back

Where most people see poor neighborhoods we see emerging markets, entrepreneurs, and small business owners investment growth, and job creation waiting to happen. Increasing the financial capability of the poor requires reimagining the way we measure risk. Thick file underwriting and documented character lending can improve a person’s credit score and his or her ability to get a loan. Thick file under writing documents bills insurance payments, rent payments, local lending accounts and other forms of credit that do not show up on a consumer credit report. Right now only Experian can raise your FICO Score by giving you credit for your phone and utility bills

The underserved pay the most for financial services

The underserved working class pay the most for financial services

People making $100,000 a year not necessarily on easy street but usually hold advanced degrees and retain invaluable set of college relationships that continue to pay in financial and non financial dividends. 84% of all tax revenue in the state of California is paid by 15% of California tax payers A new American opportunity that means 85% of Californians could be contributing more to the bottom line. Immigrants or their children have found that more than 40% of fortune 500 companies which collectively employ more than 10 million people  generate total annual revenues of more than $4.2 trillion. Job growth engine in America has been small businesses entrepreneurs and start ups

The power of the number of urban communities no longer buying from big corporation but instead to urban owned businesses will have a large effect. Providing affordable and quality products to and for the working class and the working poor is lucrative. Proven by heavyweight retailers such as Target and Costco who cater to the working class to middle-class customer. Restaurants took off and became a sustainable business model in many ways for the middle classes. In addition to the billions of dollars of annual revenue generated by restaurants the industry also provides jobs and economic opportunity for small business owners and working-class employees. Youth and adults in the developing world are taking up mobile phones at such a rapid rate they are today almost more mobile phones in the world than people (more than 6 billion units)

The underserved contribute the most to this nations bottomline. Regardless of color everyone wants to see some more US currency. In this represents an opportunity. Help a credit score in poor neighborhoods change to an average of 500 to an average of 650 or better will help change. Check cashers and payday lenders would turn into banks/credit unions, liquor stores would be converted into convenient stores/grocery stores. The more consumer empowerment a community experience as a deep new character trait the less consumer protection anyone needs

Separate and unequal America

Separate and unequal America

The United States is the largest economy in the world and exactly $17 trillion in annual GDP with enormous human resources of wealth creation and opportunity. Consumers not businesses or government Power the bulk of our massive economy with over 70% of the economy is dependent on consumer spending. The bottom 80% of the American workforce spends 90% of its income where as the wealthiest 1% spends only 49%. the wealth gap can close by expanding opportunities through well-paying job and small businesses as well as financial inclusion and know how

Free enterprise and capitalism can actually work for the poor and struggling classes and the least of God’s children. Lets recapture the old hope that if you work hard, go to school, and get good grades, pay your taxes and emotional dues it’ll pay off in a fair shot at the American dream

Save America cities with a vibrant and believable pathway to the middle-class the American dream. People just want an economic opportunity, and to be treated as consumers and Job creators. The main driver of freedom is knowledge about capital and knowledge about how to use it. Meaning financial literacy education, financial capability, as well as financial and economic empowerment

The federal government defines the poor in America as those that make $23,050 a year with a family of four in census report 16% of America’s population and 20% of children. Between the ages of 25 and 75 58.4% of Americans will spend at least one year under the government defined lines of poverty. $50,000 is the earning of half of American family which can be tight depending where you live so consider those making less with children and only a high school education. 76% of all Americans are living paycheck to paycheck and and more than 60% GDP is consumer driven

Locked out of Information, finance, and opportunity

“Underserved, struggling classes.”

Occupy Wall Street (OWS) the name given to a protest movement that began on September 17, 2011, in Zuccotti Park, located in New York City’s Wall Street financial district, received global attention and spawned the Occupy movement against social and economic inequality worldwide

America began cultivation of and commitment to finding everyone’s talent. America was made up of the broke, under resourced and mostly immigrant population that came here to escape oppression and a limited life elsewhere. It needs to be about planting growing and nurturing a sustainable middle class.

The new definition of freedom self determination- opportunity that comes from one’s own hands and the ones on both ideas connected to action personal risk and hard work. This is what we offer Opportunity!

We all have a gift and need to find out what it is.

Regardless of education you can choose a path all your own that serves your people and be successful. Simply take your personality, that which you’ve been given and do what you can even if others don’t value it. Don’t do what society says is good just for affirmation
